Bridge at Molini

Dating: 14th century
The bridge spans the stream Esarulo in the district "I Molini". It has an elegant and humped back outline, and is supported by a round arch. This sandstone footbridge was built by local masons in the 14th century. The bridge can be crossed over and is in an excellent state of preservation.
The view, which may be enjoyed from the bridge, is quite impressive.
How to reach
by car:From Lucca, take the SS12 road in direction of Abetone. Follow the signposts to Castelnuovo Garfagnana. Take the SS324 road to Castiglione Garfagnana, and just before reaching the town, turn right on the junction to Molini. Take the downhill road and reach the bridge situated at the end of the road.
