The “Puccini e la sua Lucca” festival is the only permanent festival in the world. Recitals, opera selections, special concerts (“The Three Tenors”, “Puccini’s heroines” and many others): all in the most beautiful and stunning Basilica in the very core of Lucca (San Giovanni), all at the same time (concerts starts at 7:00 p.m.), all sporting great nationally and internationally renown singers and pianists. Everytime with a different cast of singers and different programmes, in order to give the audience the greatest possible spectrum of the great immortal music of Giacomo Puccini, often flanked by the music of other great Italian operatic composers.
A great occasion to appreciate the voice of the greatest Lucchese in the world in the town where he was born and lived, in one of the most beautiful churches of the town.
